Essentially, all of our problems are over on our biggest worry-fronts. Let me tell you more!
Jordan's Research:
Jordan has been locked in an eternal immortal struggle with his research, between his hypothesis and some possibly bogus test results, coupled with not enough material. However, the latest news is that his professors are sick of it, too! So maybe we'll be out of here sometime this year! They're going to do one last hail mary pass to try and get some non-bogus results. After those are in, they will combine everything together and write the thesis on what they *do* know and *have* learned, rather than keep scratching their heads at these nonsensical results. There are still some more of the now infamous hangups (the latest being the person who needs to teach Jordan the next step breaking his foot and being away from work), but I'm learning to appreciate them more. Without it, I wouldn't have....
My New Job!
That's right, folks! As it turns out, I am not unemployable!! Following my amazing mother-in-law's advice, I unabashedly thrust my resume into the reluctant hands of every animal hospital in the Lindon/Orem/Provo/Springfield/Spanish Fork area, and after weeks of disappointment, got a bite! Apparently, the very last place I submitted a resume to was actually hiring! After a couple weeks of waiting for phone calls for further interviews, I finally got a job at the Park Animal Hospital right here in Provo!

It is such a perfect fit, absolutely my dream job! I'm doing everything from scooping up after animals to answering the phone to running exams and administering treatments. Yesterday I even got to assist (ok.... observe, actually) a surgery. GUYS IT'S LIKE HEAVEN.
A New Home!
After what also seemed like weeks and weeks of searching, we finally found a new place to live right where we started. We're going to work with the management of Continental Properties and work as R.A.'s at the LaGrande apartments. It's a two bedroom, but not much smaller than our current place (that's another blogpost waiting to happen - our house tour.) It's about the same distance from campus, but closer to Jordan's building, and even closer to the Park Animal Hospital (I could ride my bike! Until the snow comes.....). We're also excited to have the additional source of income (or, rather, less "out"-come, our work hours get taken off of our rent), and to get to work on some fun projects. Except for the snow-shovelling early in the morning. But my new early hours are hopefully preparing me for it! Anyone who knows of the place and has suggestions for improvements, or has tips on how to be awesome R.A.'s, we're all ears! Mention it in the comments below. We've already got some good ideas of how to clean the place up - we'll have to see what we can get away with.
So there we go! No more worries! We're back to the easy things, like actually going into work each day, building up my wardrobe of scrubs (I'm so excited for Halloween!), and getting our ginormous 3-bedroom apartment all packed up. We're enjoying this wave of blessings!
Cool! The RA news is something I hadn't heard about from anyone. Congratulations!!
